In the 23rd century, humanity faced the risk of extinction due to a decline in population. Several nations, notably Japan, ceased to exist. Consequently, human cloning technology was developed and widely adopted, disregarding ethical concerns.

Gradually, this technology became commonplace, allowing individuals to integrate it into their bodies and create their own clones. This shattered the natural laws of reproduction that had persisted for millions of years, transforming societal norms. Ethics dissolved, gender distinctions vanished, and all human individuals were collectively referred to as "homo."

Jose-3, a homo created from a homo named Jose, emerged as an anomaly. Unable to generate independent-consciousness homo offspring, Jose-3 could only mimic the movements of its homo progenitor. Additionally, Jose-3 struggled to assimilate into the collective and desired solitude, preferring the company of non-conscious replicas.

Seeking solace in isolation and driven by a desire to escape societal detachment, Jose-3 ventured into an abandoned manufacturing plant deep within a forest, far from the city. Upon arrival, a sense of excitement surged through Jose-3 as it resolved to explore every corner of this derelict facility.
